What makes us disgruntled?
That is a question that often comes up; 'Why are you guys so pissed off, shooting up the place?' While I do not condone violence in the workplace, it should be noted that work conditions are less than admirable.
'Hey, don't you guys get all those great benefits?', 'All those holidays?' 'You deliver the mail and then get to go home?' HAH! If it were that simple and true, but life as a postal worker ios anything but.
There was a time when working for USPS was a great place to be at. Come in early, case your mail, deliver it, put in a 8 hour day and go home. If you wanted overtime, no problem, you got it. But ... no more, those days are gone. Now comes the day of automation. Progress they call it. But it is anything but progressive.
We're hoping to document life in the Postal world and just let you all know what it is we go through on a day to day basis. And if you're a Postal Worker and want to chime in. By all means do so.
